To monitor thin reclamation

  1. To initiate thin reclamation, use the following command:

    # vxdisk reclaim diskgroup

    For example:

    # vxdisk reclaim dg100
  2. To monitor the reclamation status, run the following command in another session:

    # vxtask list
    TASKID PTID TYPE/STATE PCT PROGRESS
    171 RECLAIM/R 00.00% 0/41875931136/0 RECLAIM vol100 dg100
