For a Hypervisor backup policy for Nutanix AHV VMs, all the accelerator-enabled backup jobs fail with an error code 130. Additionally, the NetBackup ‘bpfis’ process stops on the backup host with a segmentation fault (core dump).

Solution

Veritas engineering are aware of the issue, and a formal resolution has been made available with an Emergency Engineering Binary (EEB): ET 3988179

If this problem is experienced, please contact Veritas Technical Support to obtain the EEB for NetBackup 8.2. Install the binary on the backup host (Linux OS), which can be a NetBackup client, media, or a master server.
