Client Installation on Windows server fails. Error 1935.An error occurred during the installation of assembly.

Problem

When installing NetBackup Client 8.x for Windows Server the following error occurs: "Microsoft.VC80.CRT,type=win32"

Error Message

Following Error will be reported while Installation "Error 1935.An error occurred during the installation of assembly,Microsoft.VC80.CRT,type=win32"

Cause

Corrupt User Profile on windows.

Solution

1. The user logged on to the server is not able to view the local drives in "My Computer"

2. Check if any other USER can log in to the server and can view/access the local drives i.e: C:\  through My Computer.
3. This will help to isolate and identify Profile corruption on the windows server.
4. Once profile corruption issue is resolved with the help of Windows team, check if the particular user that is logged in can view local drives.
5. Once the current user is able to see the local drives under My Computer, restart the NetBackup client installation again.
