Problem

Error Message

[root@bijl225 logs]# df -h
Filesystem      Size  Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/sda2        99G  90G  9G  89% /
tmpfs            16G  1.7M  16G  1% /dev/shm
/dev/sda5      934G  49G  838G  6% /abc
/dev/sdb1      3.6T  2.3T  1.2T  68% /xyz

Cause

If the Debug Level of logging is 6 , it will create unified logs and fill up the disk space.

Solution

Run the following to check whether the logs are enabled. The command is same for Windows as well as Unix/Linux

LogFilePermissions = 664
[root@abc bin]#

Following command will show which logs folders are filled.

[root@abc logs]#

Set the logging to the out of the box default  by running the following command::

[root@bijl225 bin]# ./vxlogcfg -a -p nb -o Default -s DebugLevel=1

Re-check whether the logs have disabled

[root@abc bin]# ./vxlogcfg -l -p nb -o Default
