BPBRM logs from the media server has been attached for reference.

Cause

Client_Name mismatch in BAR GUI for master server.

Solution

For Windows server: 

  1. Open Registry editor. 

Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Veritas\NetBackup\CurrentVersion\Config

  1. Add correct entry for Client_Name
  2. Open command prompt. 
  3. Browse to Install Path\Netbackup\bin\
  4. Run bpclntcmd -clear_host_cache 

For Linux/Unix server

  1. Open bp.conf file 

Location: /usr/openv/netbackup

  1. Update CLIENT_NAME to correct Server name 
  2. Run /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/bpclntcmd -clear_host_cache
