Panics encountered when deporting diskgroups on systems running on RHEL 6.10 with kernel 2.6.32-754.6.3
Panics encountered when deporting diskgroups on systems running on RHEL 6.10 with kernel 2.6.32-754.6.3.
The panic is due to a known Redhat issue (1624747 bugzilla).
Veritas has spoken to Redhat about the panics and Redhat has a private fix and this private fix has been confirmed to fix the panics. Redhat has advised that this bugzilla has been fixed in the 2.6.32-754.9.1.el6.x86_64 kernel.
If planning to use the RHEL 6,.10 (2.6.32-754.6.3 ) kernel with SF 6.2.1 and/or the InfoScale 7.x releases, then it would be recommended that the 2.6.32-754.9.1.el6.x86_64 kernel be used.
The SORT website has been updated to list this kernel as qualified for InfoScale 7.4, 7.3.1 and Storage Foundation 6.2.1. Please check the 'Kernel lookups' section on SORT to see details of these qualifications and if any Veritas patches are required.
