Resiliency Manager and IMS in resiliency domain are disconnected after deploying Resiliency Platform 3.1 or 3.1 Update 1.

As a result of this issue, all the Resiliency Platform operations fail with communication errors. No operation can be performed.  

Description

Due to a certificate related bug in Resiliency Platform version 3.1 or 3.1 Update 1, the certificate expires after 90 days resulting in to Resiliency Manager and IMS being disconnected.  

  • If the Resiliency Platform deployment in your environment is less than 90 days old, Resiliency Manager and IMS in resiliency domain are still connected:
    • If you plan to immediately upgrade to version 3.2, no other action is required. Resiliency Platform 3.2 includes the fix for this issue and hence it will automatically be taken care of once you upgrade to version 3.2.
    • If you do not plan to immediately upgrade to version 3.2, contact Veritas support to get the private patch to fix this issue. Once the private patch is applied, you can work with version 3.1 or 3.1 Update 1 without any issue.

 

Action Required

If Resiliency Manager and IMS are shown as disconnected:
Contact Veritas support immediately to fix the certificate issue. Once the certificate issue gets fixed, you can use the product.

Note: Do not attempt to fix the issue by removing and re-adding the IMS. Do not attempt to upgrade to version 3.2 while Resiliency Manager and IMS are in disconnected state.
