Description

In order to collect capacity and traditional license data from a NetBackup Appliance Master Server (NBDeployUtil output) you need to either have a Windows or Solaris OpsCenter Agent available in your environment and use the Agent to collect the licensing information from the appliance. The Agent can also be installed on the OpsCenter Server itself.

1- Within OpsCenter Server Web console Start the "Add NetBackup Master Servers" wizard from Settings > Configuration > Add

2- Complete the Master server details then click on "Next"

3- Select "Capacity License Data" and/or "Traditional License Data"

4- Select an Agent from one of the available agents, if no agents are defined you can add an Agent using the option available (more details in screenshots)

Make sure the selected Agent is not an appliance.

5- Verify the "NetBackup Installation Path" and "NetBackup Volume Manager Installation Path" located on the Agent

6- Key in the "NetBackup User Name" and "NetBackup Password" of the appliance. The CLISH Admin account works

7- Test the Agent Connection and if successful then click on "Next"

8- Click on "Save" in order to save the configuration and then click on "Close"

9- Confirm that the master server is connected after 5mins from:

Settings > Configuration

10- Create the Capacity License Report from:

Manage > NetBackup Licensing > Capacity License > "New Report"

or alternatively, Traditional license report from

Manage > NetBackup Licensing > Traditional License > "New Report"
