Problem

Backups scheduled in Arctera System Recovery(ASR) fail consistently with the error EC8F1FA7: None of the source drives are currently available.

This error is also noticed during an upgrade/re-install of BESR.

Error EC8F1FA7: None of the source drives are currently available.

Error EBAB03F1: Operation aborted.

Solution

1. Initially edit the backup job that is failing, reselect the drives to be backed up and continue to follow the wizard.

2. If this does not resolve the issue, reset the backup jobs and history information from ASR by following instructions on the below mentioned article.

3. If the issue re-occurs, unregister and re-register Rpam (Rpam.dll)

a. Unregister Rpam(Rpam.dll) using the following command:

RegSVR32.exe /U C:\Program Files\Common Files\Veritas Shared\rpAccess\Rpam.dll

b. Re-register the DLL using the following command:

RegSVR32.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Veritas Shared\rpAccess\Rpam.dll

Note: On 64bit operating systems, the path to RPAM.DLL is: \Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Veritas Shared\rpAccess64
