The Usage Summary table in the DLO Agent is inaccurate

The Usage Summary table in the NetBackup Desktop Laptop Option (DLO) Agent is updated every time a file is backed up or deleted from the NUDF and LUDF.  However, there are combinations of events which can unexpectedly cause the Usage Summary table to show a value which is inaccurate.

Once this occurs, stopping and starting the DLO Agent does not cause the Usage Summary table to reflect correct values.


Symantec acknowledges this is a problem with the DLO Agent.  Symantec will fix this problem in a future release of DLO.


A workaround to correct the values displayed in the Usage Summary table is to:
1. Stop the DLO Agent
2. Navigate into the users .settings folder:
   *   Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<UserName>\Local Settings\Application Data\Symantec\DLO\.settings
   *   Windows 7: C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Local\Symantec\DLO\.settings
3. Manually delete the .stats file
