Cause

This issue may occur if the SymSnap drivers are not correctly installed on the system.

Solution

1. Check if Veritas Backup Exec System Recovery has been installed, but the server was not rebooted.

2. Confirm that SymSnap.sys exist in the %SystemRoot%\System32\Drivers folder.

3. Run Fixinstall.bat (default path is C:\Program Files\Symantec\Backup Exec System Recovery) on the server and reboot the server.

4. Confirm that SymSnap appears and is shown as started in System Information > Software Environment > System Drivers.
