  • Article ID:000115641

Problem

Although the Appliance Web Console or CLISH shows no error on the Appliance, OpsCenter will send false alerts and/or the OpsCenter GUI status shows one or more errors.

Below are some example entries that OpsCenter shows false status's for.

Monitor > Appliance Hardware
  • Enclosure Fan
  • Enclosure Temperature
  • Enclosure HDD
This issue is applicable to NetBackup Appliances running NetBackup version 2.7.x monitored by OpsCenter 7.7.x.

PLEASE NOTE:  Although this EEB filters a majority of the false alerts we have identified at least 3 alerts that are not filtered with this EEB.
  • Fan Speed
  • Intake Vent Temperature
  • CPU

The fix in NetBackup Appliance 2.7.3 is EEB_ET3893477
The fix in NetBackup Appliance 3.0 is EEB_ET3913523 and intended to be in the next release after 3.0.

Reminder that this issue applies to instances where OpsCenter is sending an alert but you are not seeing any indications of these issues within the Appliance.
