Description

Maintenance windows for work on the Veritas AutoSupport CallHome services have been scheduled on the following dates:

Maintenance will occur from 6:00pm - 8:00pm U.S. Pacific time on the dates listed in the table.
We attempt to keep the disruption to any one service to 15 minutes or less.
The table may be updated quarterly, but the current cadence for maintenance is every other week.

What are we doing?
We use the maintenance windows to roll out new code, install security patches, and upgrade hardware.

What is AutoSupport or CallHome?
CallHome refers to the functionality within an appliance that monitors and reports the state of various hardware and software components and sends the data over a secure channel to Veritas back end servers. For further information please visit Veritas Appliance Support Services.

What issues might the customer see?
If specific components are being updated when an appliance calls home, an error might be generated on the appliance similar to "CALLHOME status: Not able to upload callhome data" or "Error: Service Unavailable".

What should a customer do if they see errors during the maintenance window?
Wait until after the maintenance has completed to see if CallHome resumes. If errors persist, please contact Support.
