Solution
Use the GUI to review the Scratch pool configuration.
- Make sure the Scratch pool was created correctly, and the box beside Scratch Pool has a check mark.
- If required, uncheck & check the box again if it was already checked.
- Make sure Device Configuration & Storage Unit Configuration is Correct
- Make sure the Robot Inventory was completed successfully recently.
Use the command line to review the Scratch pool configuration.
- Confirm with available_media script if it shows available media correctly.
- Verify the "SCRATCH_POOL" in vm.conf & bp.conf is set correctly.
- Use the following command that the scratch pool name is showing Correct.
# vmpool -list_scratch
Scratch Pools
============= ---------------> If its empty, that means its not set correctly.
- Rerun set command to set scratch pool name.
# vmpool -set_scratch scratch
- Confirm with following command that the scratch pool name is showing Correct
# vmpool -list_scratch
