Oncor® committed to deliver disaster recovery for the State of Texas’ Advanced Meter System (AMS) on a tight schedule to meet a regulatory mandate. The disaster recovery system needed to perform scheduled site switchovers as required in support of maintenance and other planned activities.
Solution
Working with Veritas Services, the company deployed Veritas™ Resiliency Platform to achieve automated recovery for complex systems as well as alternating failover between production data centers.
Outcome
Oncor now has a simplified resiliency solution covering all its data centers, meeting SLAs and providing a “single lever to pull” either for maintenance or for disaster recovery.
