Chief Executive Officer
Bill Coleman is the Chief Executive Officer at Veritas. Bill is an industry veteran who has spent 25 years running prominent Silicon Valley companies including his years as the founder/CEO of BEA Systems.
Bill founded BEA Systems in 1995 and was Chairman and CEO of the company from its founding through October 2001, during which time BEA became the fastest software company to reach a billion dollars in annual revenue. Following BEA, Bill was Founder, Chairman and CEO of Cassatt, Inc. an enterprise cloud software company which was acquired by CA, Inc. in 2009, and has been a partner with Alsop Louie Partners, an early stage Silicon Valley venture capital firm, since 2010. During this time, he was also Chairman and CEO of Resilient Network Systems, a cyber security software company from Feb 2012 until Dec 2013. Prior to BEA, Bill held various management positions at Sun Microsystems, Inc., where he co-founded Sun Federal; founded Sun Professional Services; and was VP System Software, where he led the initial development of Solaris and related products. He began his career in the USAF as chief of satellite operations, Office of the Secretary.
Bill holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the U. S. Air Force Academy and master’s degrees in computer science and computer engineering from Stanford University. He also holds an honorary doctorate from the University of Colorado, where he founded the Coleman Institute for Cognitive Disabilities. He is a member of the board of directors of Seagate, is a Commissioner of the Trilateral Commission and a Trustee of Santa Clara University.
Executive Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations
Scott Genereux is the Executive Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations at Veritas. In this role, he is responsible for leading all aspects of Sales, Renewals, Channels, Sales Operations, Services, and Support.
Scott has over 20 years of experience leading sales across a multitude of industry-leading IT companies, including Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) where he successfully led worldwide sales, marketing, and support to achieve number one market share in high-end enterprise storage systems. Most recently, Scott headed up cloud IaaS and converged infrastructure sales for Oracle. Prior to Oracle, Scott served as CEO of cloud storage pioneer Nirvanix and also held global sales leadership roles at QLogic and DataDirect Networks.
Scott holds a bachelor’s degree in management information systems from California State University, Northridge and is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s advanced management program.
Executive Vice President, Chief Product Officer
Mike Palmer is Executive Vice President and Chief Product Officer (CPO) at Veritas.
As CPO, Mike is responsible for driving Veritas’ $2.5 billion products organization, which includes the Veritas Information Availability, Information Management, Backup and Recovery and Appliances portfolios.
Prior to this role, Mike was Senior Vice President and General Manager of Veritas’ Solutions for Data Insight and Orchestration organization, where he drove the strategic vision for bringing Veritas Information Availability and Insight solutions to market.
He has extensive leadership experience across diverse roles and technology areas, with companies ranging from startups to the Fortune 20. Mike joined Veritas from Seagate Technologies, where his responsibilities as Senior Vice President and General Manager (GM) of the Cloud Services business unit included engineering, product management, sales and marketing, service and operations and profit and loss management.
Prior to Seagate, Mike spent nine years with Verizon in various leadership positions. These ranged from Vice President and GM of Cloud Information Technology Solutions and Security, to leading Global Engineering, Product Strategy and Alliances and Chief Marketing Officer. Before that he spent eight years in leadership positions at Totality Corporation (which was sold to Verizon) and Xuma.
Mike holds a bachelor’s degree in Developmental Biology from the University of Rochester in New York. He speaks Spanish and Swedish and has extensive experience working abroad.
Mark P. Dentinger
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Mark P. Dentinger is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Veritas. In this role, he leads the company’s global finance organization with responsibility for accounting, financial planning and analysis, corporate tax, treasury, purchasing and investor relations.
A seasoned financial executive, Mark has over 20 years of experience leading finance strategy and operations for high profile technology companies, and a strong track record in deploying industry-leading financial processes to drive long-term growth.
Most recently Mark served as vice president and CFO of InvenSense. Prior to this he served as executive vice president and CFO of KLA-Tencor Corporation. He also served as CFO at BEA Systems, Inc. until the company was acquired by Oracle. Additionally, he served in various financial management positions at the former Compaq Computer Corporation (now Hewlett-Packard).
Mark holds an MBA in finance from the University of California at Berkeley and a bachelor's degree in economics from St. Mary's College in Moraga, California.
Chief Marketing Officer
Lynn Lucas is Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at Veritas. She leads the global marketing organization and is responsible for all aspects including the customer experience, corporate positioning and communications, brand and digital strategy, orchestrated demand generation, and regional marketing.
A seasoned and innovative CMO with a reputation for driving marketing strategies that grow awareness and business impact, Lynn brings more than 20 years of B2B marketing experience to Veritas. Her experience ranges from large, high tech enterprises to cloud-focused mid-sized organizations. Prior to Veritas she served as Chief Marketing Officer of Good Technology. She relaunched their brand, developed new messaging and positioning, and delivered sales pipeline through integrated demand generation programs, ultimately culminating in the successful sale of Good in the highly competitive mobile security market.
Before that Lynn was with Cisco Systems, where she served in various executive roles, most recently as Vice President, Global Collaboration Marketing. At Cisco she led successful marketing strategies for a $5 billion portfolio that spanned a wide range of market audiences and Cisco business units. Lynn holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer
Todd Hauschildt is Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Veritas. In this role, he is responsible for leading the Information Technology function for Veritas, including its infrastructure, systems, processes, and security.
Previously, Todd has led large-scale transformations within IT and other business functions that include order fulfillment, supply chain, manufacturing, engineering, finance, and HR. He has led major transformations, system implementations, mergers and acquisitions, and transactions that involved thousands of employees and all business functions.
Prior to Veritas, Todd was the Chief Information Officer for CRC Health Group, the largest provider of behavioral health care services in the U.S. focused on helping families in need. In this role, he led the transformation of their IT function to become a true business partner and enable the growth of their business units. Before joining CRC Health Group, he was Chief Information Officer and Vice President of Indirect Procurement and facilities of Verigy, a company that was separated from Agilent where he held a number of IT roles. When Agilent itself was spun off from Hewlett-Packard, where he began his career, he was responsible for separating and standing up all of Agilent's IT functions, applications, and infrastructure. Todd holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Finance from California State University, Chico, and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Golden Gate University in San Francisco.
Senior Vice President and General Counsel
Michelle VonderHaar is the Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Veritas.
In this role, Michelle leads the Global Legal Affairs team, which includes the legal department, ethics and compliance, government affairs, and diversity and inclusion matters. Previously, Michelle held various positions in Symantec’s legal department starting in 2004. In 2009, she transferred to the Huawei-Symantec joint venture in Hong Kong to become its General Counsel, and returned to Symantec in 2012 as the VP, Legal (APJ Region) in Singapore. Most recently she served as Veritas’ VP, Legal (Lead for EMEA and APJ Regions, Corporate, M&A, Compliance and Government Affairs).
Prior to her career at Symantec and Veritas, Michelle was a commercial litigator with Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP in Los Angeles and Irvine, and a corporate finance and M&A attorney with O’Melveny & Myers LLP practicing in London, San Francisco, and Silicon Valley.
Michelle is admitted to practice law in California, Washington, D.C., New York, England, and Wales and received her law degree from the University of Arizona, James E. Rogers College of Law where she was a member of and published in the Arizona Law Review.
Chief Human Resources Officer
David Dart is Chief Human Resources Officer at Veritas. He leads the global human resources organization and is responsible for all aspects of the organization including performance management, talent development, talent acquisition, and compensation and benefits.
Prior to Veritas, David held the position of Vice President Human Resources for Celanese Corporation, a Fortune 500 global technology and specialty materials company where he led the strategy deployment efforts for the company. Previously, David held various human resources leadership positions at Amgen, Ecolab, Bissell Homecare and ConAgra Foods. David brings a wealth of experience spanning all aspects of HR, including strategic change management and leadership development. He also has an excellent track record in driving cultural transformation and extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions.
David holds a bachelor's degree in biophysics and natural resources and an MBA from the University of Michigan. Prior to his career in HR, David spent seven years serving as a logistics officer with the U.S. Navy.
