The Challenge
Migrate to a new version of Microsoft Exchange, while reducing data volume yet retaining access to previously deleted emails.
The Solution
The Department called on Veritas Partner Fujitsu, who deployed Veritas Enterprise Vault on their PRIMERGY servers to archive the email files on ETERNUS storage devices.
The Outcome
With a reduced data store, the migration was completed in a shorter time frame than otherwise expected. The customer now archives less-frequently accessed information from Exchange as well as from file servers, SharePoint systems, and other sources. Existing PST files are automatically located and archived.
