As set forth in the End User License Agreement (EULA) you must complete one of the two options set forth below. To comply with this condition of the EULA and stop logging of this message, you have 0 days to either: - make this host managed by a Management Server (see http://go.symantec.com/sfhakeyless for details and free download), or - add a valid license key matching the functionality in use on this host using the command 'vxlicinst' and validate using the command 'vxkeyless set NONE'.

The installation script for Storage Foundation HA provides the option of using a "keyless" licensing mode. Keyless licensing allows the convenience of installing without entering a key. This requires each host to be registered with a Veritas Operations Manager (VOM) management server. Without a VOM management server, the keyless licenses will function for 60 days from the date of installation. After the 60 day period is over, " WARNING V-365-1-1 " messages will begin to appear, as shown in the error example of this article.

This message normally appears if one of the following sets of conditions are present:

Conditions Solutions Notes
Keyless licenses are installed on this host.
AND

This host is not registered with a VOM (Veritas Operations Manager) management server.

Register the host with a VOM central management server.
 
OR

Remove the keyless licenses and revert to permanent license keys.
Keyless licensing requires the host to be registered with a VOM central management server.
The file /etc/vx/licenses/lic/.keyless.diff is missing, or has been corrupted. A procedure to work around this issue can be found here:
