Note for users of NetBackup 10.2 or later
NetBackup 10.2 introduces the NetBackup Scale-Out Relational Database, a new database technology that provides an improved experience when compared to the previous NetBackup releases.
Be aware that the information in this version of the NetBackup Backup Planning and Performance Tuning Guide does not address tuning and performance of the new database. In this version of the guide, discussions of the relational database and the NetBackup catalog apply only to NetBackup 8.3 through 10.1.1. Future versions of this guide will contain tuning and performance information specifically for the new NetBackup Scale-Out Relational Database.
