Restore SharePoint/OneDrive/Teams site data and sites
You can restore various components, including site collections, sub-sites, lists, folders, items, and different versions of items. You can restore these components to the same location or another location.
Veritas Alta™ SaaS Protection restores the customizations that are made within site collections, sub-sites, list settings, columns, and content types. Veritas Alta™ SaaS Protection also restores permissions associated with these components.
See Supported settings and column types at site collections, site, and list level.
If a sub-site or list is missing at the destination where you want to restore the data, the structure of the missing sub-site or list gets created, and data gets restored within it.
You also have the option to restore the entire site collection to a new URL if needed; this can be useful for migrating or recovering data to a different location.

- Access the Administration portal.
- On the left, click Content.
- On the Content page, do the following:
From the upper-left drop-down list, select the Stor that holds the data that is to be restored.
From the drop-down list, which is next to the selected Stor, do one of the following:
Select All content to display all items.
Select a policy or Discovery case to view a specific item within.
On the left pane, expand the required folder.
On the right pane, do any of the following:
To restore a site collection along with any customizations and its child items, select the site collection.
To restore a sub-site along with its customizations and all the objects nested within it, select the sub-site.

If the site collection does not exist at the destination site collection URL, the restore process creates a new site collection.

When the check box is selected:
Any items from hidden lists or catalogs (except the Teams wiki list) are skipped from the restore.
The skipped items are recorded in the diagnostic logs.
If a system list or a folder within a system list is chosen as the destination, and the checkbox is enabled, the restore is failed with an error indicating that restoration to the selected system list is not possible.
