About Enterprise Vault.cloud Archive Administration

Veritas Enterprise Vault.cloud™ is a cloud-based archiving service that lets your organization store, manage, and discover email messages and other business-critical information. Once your organization enables the service, it can journal a copy of all the messages that are sent and received within your organization to Enterprise Vault.cloud.

Archive Administration is a cloud-based interface that enables administrators to configure and manage Enterprise Vault.cloud.

Archive Administration lets administrators perform the following tasks:

  • Provision and manage Enterprise Vault.cloud archive accounts.

  • Configure and manage the archiving of content sources.

  • Assign and manage user roles.

  • Manage archiving options and policies.

  • Manage retention policies and tags.

  • Manage the Email Continuity option.

  • Generate usage reports.

Recent updates to Archive Administration

The March 2017 release of Archive Administration included the following enhancements:

  • Office 365 Config node enhancements. The Office 365 Config node settings have been updated to simplify the configuration of Office 365 Sync. Under Powershell Credentials and Exchange Web Services Credentials the two URL fields have been removed. These fixed URLs are now configured automatically. Also, under Exchange Web Services Credentials a new check box Use same credentials as Powershell lets you use the same credentials without the need to re-enter them.

    See Configuring Office 365 Sync.

  • New option not to send a welcome message when single-sign on is configured. If your company is configured in Enterprise Vault.cloud for single sign-on authentication, then the options have changed on the Provisioning node under Personal Archive Deployment Options > Personal Archive Access. If you enable Personal Archive access you can now choose whether or not to send a welcome message.

For single sign-on configurations whose Personal Archive Access settings were configured before the update, a welcome message continues to be sent by default after the update. To turn off the sending of the welcome message, use the new option under Personal Archive Access.

See Configuring the Personal.cloud deployment options.

  • Support for Google G Suite Enterprise Gmail archiving. You can now administer the archive accounts for Google G Suite Enterprise Gmail from Archive Administration. For more information on how to set up Enterprise Vault.cloud for Google G Suite Gmail archiving, see the information in the Enterprise Vault.cloud Journaling Guide. To discuss your specific requirements, contact Veritas Services & Support.

Information about the changes that were included with earlier releases of Archive Administration is provided elsewhere in this help.
