Korean characters are not being displayed correctly via IMAP clients on e-mails ingested into Enterprise Vault (EV) by the PST Import method
Emails can be ingested into EV via many methods and one method is via the PST import wizard. An issue has been identified where emails that have Korean characters do not have all characters displayed correctly, on an IMAP client only, when that email has been ingested via the PST Import process. The same email ingested via the normal mailbox archiving process displays correctly.
This issue only occurs on IMAP clients and not within Microsoft Outlook nor the Enterprise Vault Search application.
No error is presented. The behaviour is either characters are displayed as question marks or as garbled characters.
