Solution

A hotfix is now available for this issue in the current version(s) of the product(s) mentioned in this article. Refer to the Hotfix link under Related Documents at the end of this article to obtain the hotfix needed to resolve the issue.

Backup Exec 2014 Rev 1786 Service Pack 2 ( 000023641 ).

Workaround:

Manually eject the media

OR

Use BEMCLI utility

If your backup job’s definition is called "MYSERVER Backup 00001" and you want to change the full backup stage called "Full" and incremental stage named "Incremental", then you could do the following from the BEMCLI prompt:

BEMCLI> $backupDef = Get-BEBackupDefinition "MYSERVER Backup 00001"

BEMCLI> $backupDef | Set-BEBackupTask –Name "Full" -TapeStorageEjectMediaAfterComplete:$true

BEMCLI> $backupDef | Set-BEBackupTask –Name "Incremental" -TapeStorageEjectMediaAfterComplete:$true

BEMCLI> $backupDef | Save-BEBackupDefinition
