StorageOnlineOPNS Fails to Stop/Start: The RPC server is unavailable. (0x800706ba)

Problem

Users are unable to open archived files as a result of StorageOnlineOPNS not shutting down correctly when the Storage Service shuts down.  As a result of this process not shutting down, a new instance of StorageOnlineOpns.exe that is linked with the Storage Service cannot be launched when the Storage Service starts up again.

Error Messages

The following set of errors are logged after a restart of the Enterprise Vault services as seen in the Enterprise Vault Event Viewer:

Event : 10016 - DCOM
Description:
The application-specific permission settings do not grant Remote Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID
{F019A230-FF92-11D1-8C20-0000F87502DE}
and APPID
{F019A223-FF92-11D1-8C20-0000F87502DE}
to the user NT AUTHORITY\ANONYMOUS LOGON SID (S-1-5-7) from address 10.10.10.1. This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.

Collect a Dtrace when above Events are shown in the Event logs during the time when they are shown.

This issue has been resolved in the following release:
