Have you tried restarting the job? Does it fail again? Have you restarted any services on client or media/master?
Version of NBU? Client version?
Also copy the detailed status in notepad and paste it here.
Is this client moved from old master to new master or any changes in the environment.
http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH50484
99% it happens when someone cancels it but if that is not the case provide the bpbrm and bptm log files on the media server, and the bpbkar log file on the client server

I mean how to enable bpsched log file on the master server
08-07-2012 09:59 PM
Create the "bpsched" directory within
UNIX = /usr/openv/netbackup/logs/
Windows = %INSTALL_PATH%\VERITAS\NetBackup\logs\
bpsched is if some issue in scheduled backups and error code 150 is administrator cancelled the job ??Are you getting 50 or 150, post the result of your detailed status.

The backup was running and written the kilobytes, it seems someone cancelled this job.

Sazz,
Nobody has cancelled the jobs
Thanks

bpsched is only at 5.1 is it not ... I'd recommend you upgrade.
Here is a technote on using logs (covers 6.x and above).

What is your NBU version?
Bpsched process no longer exists as from NBU 6.0. So, even if you create the folder, nothing will be logged. The following logs may help you:
On master: admin
On media server: bpbrm and bptm
Simply create the folders under netbackup/logs.

bpsched process/binary got replaced by these processes:
• NetBackup Policy Execution Manager (nbpem)
• NetBackup Job Manager (nbjm)
• NetBackup Resource Broker (nbrb)
See this post for details: https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/netbackup-irm#comment-7005121
Please copy all the text (not screenshot) in Job details and post it here. I am curious to see what is above 'killing bpbrm ...'
08-08-2012 11:24 PM
Hi Marianne,
I din get you what you want me paste here
08-08-2012 11:50 PM
My previous post was explanation of the processes that replaced bpsched.
bpsched no longer exists in post 6.x installations.
If you create bpsched log folder, nothing will be logged. It will have no effect. The folder will remain empty.

Hey Marianne,
I think Nayab is talking about this "Please copy all the text (not screenshot) in Job details and post it here. I am curious to see what is above 'killing bpbrm "
Nayab the screenshot you attached at the start doesn't give all the information. Please copy paste the complete information to see what is killing bpbrm.

Seems we have a language problem here...
The information in Job details can be copied as text. The screenshot is only showing the last couple of lines.
We need to see everything in Job Details. There may be a reason for the status 150...

OK Done i will paste it right now

Hi Maria,
Any update on this??
Thanks
Nayab
08-20-2012 09:20 PM
There is nothing that indicates what went wrong here:
7/08/2012 9:03:48 AM - begin writing
7/08/2012 11:00:03 AM - Info bpbrm(pid=3136) killing bpbrm child 1012.
7/08/2012 11:00:09 AM - Info bpbrm(pid=3136) killing bpbrm child 472.
Maybe bpbrm log will have more info.
bptm may be useful too.
We can see that backup terminated after about 2 hours.
bpbrm log will tell us if there was a timeout on NBU's part.
bptm log will tell us up to when data was received from client.
As previously stated, look at admin log as well.
