Parental Leave

Veritas is committed to helping you and your family lead healthy and satisfying lives. Veritas offers up to eight weeks Paid Parental Leave with 100% pay to its employees who are mothers, fathers or domestic partners of a newborn, as well as parents of a newly adopted or newly placed foster child.

What to Do When: You're Going on Parental Leave
Take Action Before Leave Begins:
  1. Notify your manager at least 30 days prior to a foreseeable leave or as soon as possible.
  2. View the Expecting Parents: Parental Leave and Baby Bonding Benefits webcast.
  3. IMPORTANT! Contact Liberty Mutual at (844) 815-4441 or visit Liberty (company code: Veritas) to initiate your leave claim.
Take Note:
  • Your benefit payment(s) for parental leave are contingent upon you initiating your leave claim with Liberty Mutual and receiving approval for the request.


If you work at least twenty (20) hours per week and are the mother, father or domestic partner of a parent of a newborn, or a parent of a newly adopted or newly placed foster child, you are eligible for Veritas' Paid Parental leave which is up to eight weeks off with 100% pay.

The birth or placement of the child must occur after you begin your employment with Veritas but requires no additional waiting period. You must take this time:

  • Within one year of the birth, adoption, or placement of the child
  • In at least one-week increments
  • Only once each calendar year

FMLA and State-Specific Parental Leave

Parental leave runs concurrently with FMLA which provides you with a job protected leave of absence.
