Description
There may be a reason to perform a complete uninstall of the eDiscovery Platform (eDP).
Note: The example in this article is for eDP Version 9.1 and above. Except for minor version differences, the steps are the same for all releases.
To perform a complete uninstall, use the following steps:
Warning: If the purpose is to reinstall eDP, be sure to make a copy of the following files as they will be needed after a successful re-installation of eDP:
• D:\CW\V9X\tomcat\conf\server.keystore
• Certificates (cacert files) from both JDK folders
e.g. C:\jdk-8u181-windows-x32\jre\lib\security\cacerts and
C:\jdk-8u181-windows-x64\jre\lib\security\cacerts
• License files from D:\CW\V9X\license\current folder.
- Make sure to log in under the account that was used to install eDP
- From a command prompt type:
- D: <enter>
- CD CW\vXX <enter> (where XX is specific to the version of eDP)
- b clean-packages <enter>
Note: If the EsaApplicationService is not running the above command will not run. Remove the following entry from the Windows Registry:
\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Clearwell
- Navigate to "Control Panel > Programs and Features"
- Select "Clearwell X.X" (where XX is specific to the version of eDP) from the list of installed programs. Click the "Uninstall" button from the top menu bar. The install wizard will display the list of software that will be removed. Follow the prompts to uninstall eDP.
