The Index Admin Service fails to start with event id's 41370 and 41335 .

Cause

The issue can occur if there is corruption with the maintainance-mode file. One of the possible reason for the corruption could be Antivirus Scans, hence this location should be excluded from Antivirus scan.

 

Solution

1. Rename the maintainance-mode files at location C:\Program Files (x86)\Enterprise Vault\EVIndexing\maintenance-mode and C:\Program Files (x86)\Enterprise Vault\EVIndexing\bin\maintenance-mode to old.
2. Restart the EV admin service.

Note : If the issue occurs in a cluster the same solution will have to be applied on all cluster nodes.
