I have installed Veritas 5.1 on a windows 2008 x64 server connected to IBM DS6800 storage. In the device manager i see the DSM is installed for many array vendors including IBM DSxxx however it has a yellow bang on it and is not attaching to my disks.
In the past i did not have to install any "vendor" software to make this work. Did something change in 5.1? When looking at the Veritas administrator it shows nothing under the DSM link and the disks do not have the MPIO tab on them.
If not, you have remove the DSM modules, reboot, install Windows MPIO, reboot, ensure one path only connected to storage, install DSM, reboot, reconnect other paths, rescan!!!
