Hello!

I'm a usability engineer for Backup Exec and I am currently looking for user feedback on several virtualization features for an upcoming release.

If you are interested in participating in a usability session, please check out the sessions I have for next week. These are remote session via WebEx and about an hour long.

If you have any questions about this, feel free to leave a comment here - or send me an email directly.

Regards,

Elizabeth

Hi, Elizabeth.

Jaydeep pointed me your way on Twitter.

I Don't use virtualization, so I don't think I'll have much to add to your study, but I am greatly looking forward to the work you and the team are putting into 2012 R2 - the allready announced features will ease a lot of the pain points.

Hello Easier2Move!

Glad to hear you like what's coming up! I will be running usability sessions on other areas of upcoming things soon.  The next area is migration of multi-server jobs.

If you've seen other threads on SymConnect you probably ran into one or more threads on multi-server jobs coming back in 2012 R2.  In mid-November I'll be running sessions on to see how we migrate these jobs from BE 2010 to 2012 R2.

This round of testing will be different from most of my testing. I'm going to ask the folks who want to participate to FTP (a secure FTP site - BTW) a copy of their 2010 databases and catalogs. Durring the session we will migrate/upgrade their data on my VMs live.  This gives folks a chance to see how the migration process will go (without having to actually do the migration) plus all the feedback from the sessions will help make the process work better when 2012 R2 is released.

When I start recruting for this, I'll be posting this back out to SymConnect and tweeting it out, so you should see the announcement.
