PST Import and duplicate items

Hi,

I'm going to export a user's mailbox to PST and then import the file into the Vault.

Will an item that exists in that user's mailbox still get archived if the item has already been imported into the vault?

Or if EV sees the item in the user's mailbox already exists in the Vault does it ignore the item and not duplicate it?

Hope someone can clarify!

you will have both copies in the archive. dedupe only occurs at the storage level and during eDiscovery.

you could run the following tool after import the pst to clean up duplicates
