Linux client reboot during Full backup

Hi,

We have one Linux client that randomly reboot during full backup and always 1st attempt, the second attempt after the reboot will work 99% of the time.

We have increase the logging (verbose = 5, added the "/netbackup/backup_path_tr" file, we can't see any trends in bkpkar log when it restarts.

We had apprx 6.5Million files on the server, after cleaning out alot of old oracle audit file we came down to 3.5M but the reboot still continues.
The size of the Fullbackup is 270GB

Are there any other logging we could add to see where the problem is??

Environment:

Master & Media: 7.7.1, Windows2008R2
BackupTarget: Dell Dr4100 OST.
Client: 7.7.1, Redhat Enterprise 6.6

Don't know if it is relevant, but had an issue on an AIX machine where rebooted when /proc was backed up as a part of all_local_drives, here the solution was to exclude /proc

The other suggestions I have is to increase the memory or swap file or breakup the backup in smaller chunks

Would look at the system logs as this a probably more of an OS problem than an actual Netbackup problem

The standard questions: Have you checked: 1) What has changed. 2) The manual 3) If there are any tech notes or VOX posts regarding the issue
