EV2 - MS SQL 2005 SP2
EX01- Exchange 2007 SP1 (Mailbox Role)
EX02- Exchange 2007 SP1 ( CAS Role)

I have managed to configure the OWA to work internally but when i tried to connect from external to access the OWA ,
Both Archive explorer and Search archive is not working.

What's the error that you recieve when try to access archive explorer or search?
Have you seen and test these links?

Hello,

Create an "A name" on your external DNS.. for example ; archive.acme.com

Then add the below lines in web.config on CAS Server

<add key="EnterpriseVault_ExternalWebAppUrl" value="archive.acme.com/enterprisevault"/>
<add key="EnterpriseVault_UseExternalWebAppUrl" value="true"/>

If you are not able to create an "A name" on external DNS, create a redirection rule on you firewall based on "header". That rull will redirect the "your-owa-addres.com/enterprisevault" to  Enterprise Vault local IP..

Also check this,

ISA 2000 is not on the compatibility list, so it is not supported by Symantec.
Probably it is out of support with Microsoft as well.

You don't have the possibility to upgrade to isa2006 or TMG2010?
