Exchange Enterprise CALS necessary for using EV 12 - Journaling/SMTP Archiving?

Is there any documentation for all the requirements for ev journaling? I would like to know if there is a need to have Exchange Enterprise CALS to configure and use Enterprise Vault Journaling/SMTP Archiving for mail traffic, printers and etc.

documentation for technical requirements, sure. the licensing requirements for EV are best discussed with your Veritas rep.

as far as what's required in Exchange, you're best checking with your Microsoft rep.

You need an Exchange Enterprise if you want to use Journal rules. If you are going to use a 'catch all' journal mailbox, or one per database, then you are good with standard. As Andrew says, check with respective rep first.

Journal Archiving using EV has nothing to do with Exchange.
