Level 1

I am a new for backupexec.

I created a job named JOB_A to perform a full backup every day.

Also I have three tape named TAPE_A, TAPE_B, TAPE_3, an associate to media set named MEDIASET_A

JOB_A is set to use MEDIASET_A.

When TAPE_A ran out of space, current job do not use other tape in MEDIASET_A and keep asking to insert library?

How can I configure the job can use other tape when the current tape ran out of space?

I believe your issue is due to the fact that you probably associated your 3 tapes with the media set.  You don't want to do that as then the tapes acquire to properties and rules of htat media set IMMEDIATELY.  Which means that your blank tapes are not overwriteable.  the proper thing is to leave the tapes in the "scratch" media st until BE needs one, then BE will take a tape from "scratch" and associate it with MEDIASET_A.

To avoid this kind of error, make sure that you have sufficient overwritable tapes BEFORE the start of the job.
