Hi Guys,

Thanks a lot for your good support.

I have upgraded one client(win 2008) and now there is no error while taking BMR backup.

The backup was fully successful.

Please, help to upgrade to all the BMR pakage for this latest 7.0.1

OR

It 'll be done autumetically?(where I need to do nothing)

Thanks once again.

The problem is your client system has not configured some driver/s correctly. And this is important for BMR in order to understand the client system during backup and do complete bare metal recovery of it later.

Please check driver configuration wizard on your client system to see if there are any driver/s unconfigured. Please configure the same, reboot client system and try taking bmr enabled backup again.

Thanks.

Hi,

What operating system are you backing up. If it Windows 2008 you'll need to apply a patch 7.0.1.

Hi,

7.0.1 is the latest yes, but do you have it installed on both the master/media and the client (windows 2003 system) you're backing up.

You can see the version of the client by checking the admin console, host properties, clients, then look for your 2003 client. Or login to the client, and check the version file in $INSTALL_PATH\Veritas\NetBackup\

If your client is at the latest/recommended patch level please review this technote to find out which drivers are missing/causing a problem.
