Backup Exec 2012 with Oracle 11gr2

Hi,

My customer has installed Oracle Rac 11gr2 on Redhat Enterprise 5.5 ,And I have upgraded the Backup Exec 2010r3sp1 to BE2012 , But i need to know if the Oracle Rac 11gr2 on Redhat Enterprise 5.5 is supported with BE 2012 or NO.

I have checked the BE2012 SCL and i found that Oracle 11gr2 is supported on windows only.But behind the Oracle Version there is Number 2,3 ,,,,in there description i can understand number 2 ,,But 3   :) NO.

Can any help me to understand this point.

I beleive it is not supported on Linux platform

As it show it's not supported but the comment number 3 show that:

3- RAC and Oracle Fail-safe support for Windows and Linux.

So it mean that if i installed Oracle 11gr2  standalone on Redhat Enterprise 5.5 it will not be supported.

But if i installed the Oracle as RAC on linux (ex: Redhat Enterprise 5.5 ) it will be supported !!!!!!

I think it may support, cause it´s strange to not support a standlone instance and support a Oracle Rac.
