Check out ManageFusion in Las Vegas, March 10 - 12 to learn more about High Availability and Disaster Recovery.

The Clustering and Replication team will be giving away iPods at each session . . and don't forget to stop by the hands-on lab and the Data Center Optimization expo booth (S1).

High Availability and Disaster Recovery for your VMware Environment (SV B07)

Virtualization adds a layer of complexity as systems become increasingly integrated and interdependent. This causes a wider area of potential impact for failures and outages for physical and virtual environments. Attend this session to learn how Veritas Cluster Server for VMware ESX simplifies administration and provides these virtual and physical environments with a higher level of availability and comprehensive disaster recovery coverage. Protect your mission critical applications from planned and unplanned downtime by monitoring the application, virtual machine health, and dependent components.

Making your Altiris Notification Server Highly Available (SV B08)

The Notification Server is the heart of the entire Altiris Infrastructure. Any downtime can make an administrator’s role extremely challenging. This technical session will discuss integrating your Altiris Notification Server (and other applications) with Veritas Storage Foundation HA for Windows to make sure that it stays up and running when you need it. In addition, we will dive into the storage management capabilities (along with high availability and disaster recovery components) that can make your infrastructure more reliable and cost effective to operate.

Optimize Storage Management and High Availability for Windows Server Environments (SV B09)

Veritas Storage Foundation and High Availability for Windows 5.1 maximizes your existing storage investment. Reduce risk and complexity in your data center through advanced online storage management capabilities for Microsoft Windows Server environments, including Windows Server 2008. Learn how to optimize your physical disks and arrays so that you can configure, share and manage your storage. Avoid interrupting availability to your servers and mission critical applications like Exchange, SQL Server, and SharePoint Server. Hyper-V guest support is included for the same functionality across physical and virtual Windows environments.

Hands On Lab

Introduction to Storage Management for Windows Server Environments (SV L02)

Attend this lab to see how you can take your Windows storage and availability infrastructure to the next level with enterprise-class storage management and high availability  This lab will walk you through the Storage Foundation for Windows High Availability core product features.  Using easy-to-use configuration wizards, you will walk through the setup of disk groups show support for iSCSI, manage storage layouts and configurations, configure snapshots and work with Dynamic Multi-Pathing.  This lab will also show how to set up and manage Veritas Cluster Server service and groups and failover cluster resources locally or to remote data centers.
