On unix, we can do:  vxdg -n newckdg -o useclonedev=on -o updateid import ckdg, or writing a new UDID to a disk using "vxdisk updateudid" or "vxdisk set clone=on" But I do not see these command options for Windows. So how do you import a disk group containing cloned disks on Windows? I did not find any posting on this topics. Thanks.

When multiple applications use a common storage subsystem, it is important to balance application I/O requests in a way that allows multiple applications to co-exist in a shared environment. You can address this need by setting a maximum threshold on the I/O operations per second (IOPS) for the volumes of an application. The volumes of an application are grouped to form an application volume ...

What is ‘Atleast resource dependency’? Atleast resource dependency is useful where parent resource depends on multiple child resources but parent resource does not require all child resources to be online before parent resource comes online. Data centers today service multiple independent applications which share storage resources. Unless applications are completely isolated from one another, whenever they vie for a shared resource, contention occurs. Each of these applications often require predictable quality of service. Unrestricted usage of the shared storage resources causes “Noisy neighbor” problem. Hence there is a need ...
