Symantec recently announced integration with Actiance to provide accurate capture of social media, Instant Messaging, Unified Communications and Collaboration content.
Actiance is a leader in communication, collaboration, and social media governance for the enterprise. They offer capture and control of a wide variety of networks including Lync, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Skype, IBM Sametime, IBM Connections, Jive and many more.
Actiance recently completed tight integration with Enterprise Vault to allow this content to be sent to Enterprise Vault for long-term archiving. Actiance content can be sent directly to Enterprise Vault via an API integration or can be sent to a mailbox and ingest via EV Journal Agent. In both cases, content is stored as an EML file and context is maintained through the capture of rich metadata to enable filtering on name/value pairs.
Symantec can also resell Actiance products allowing customers to purchase Actiance along with Enterprise Vault and Clearwell.
